TOWN OF MILLSTON BUDGET HEARING
NOVEMBER 17, 2021
The 2021 Budget Hearing for the proposed 2022 budget was called to order by Dan Smrekar at 6:59pm at the Millston Community Center. All board members were present.
The 2021 year to date and 2022 Proposed Budget was reviewed.
MOTION TO ADOPT THE 2022 BUDGET AS PRESENTED MADE BY GERALD RAMSEY, SECONDED BY MARY BUNDE. MOTION CARRIED. 7 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED.
MOTION MADE BY GEORGE TO ADJOURN THE BUDGET HEARING, SECONDED BY MIKE. MOTION CARRIED.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING FOR LEVY
NOVEMBER 17, 2021
The special town meeting was held at the Community Center and called to order following the Budget Hearing. The Special Town Meeting was held to adopt the proposed 2021 Town Tax Levy payable in 2022 as required by state statute.
MOTION MADE BY GERALD RAMSEY TO ADOPT THE 2021 PROPOSED TAX LEVY OF $16,412.00 PAYABLE IN 2022, SECONDED BY MARY BUNDE. MOTION CARRIED. 7 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED.
MOTION MADE BY MARY BUNDE TO ADJOURN THE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, SECONDED BY GERALD RAMSEY. MOTION CARRIED.

11-17-2021
The Town of Millston Board members met on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Community Center. Meeting called to order by Dan at 7:30pm. Board Members present: Dan Smrekar, Chairman, Dawn Wojtyla, Clerk, George Riedel, Supervisor 1, Mike Yahn, Supervisor, and Susan Marcou, Treasurer.
Minutes from 10-13-2021 were reviewed, Motion to approve previous minutes with a date change in the Treasurers section made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
New resident owners Scott and Debralynn Westfahl of W6737 Coffey Road were present to introduce themselves and their concern with a vacant piece of parcel next to their land that they would like to find out who owns it and/or how to obtain the parcel. Mike will contact Zoning and see if he can help them.
Dave and Paula Epstein were present and voiced their concerns with the Junk Vehicles in the town. Their second concern was the Air bnb and suggested asking if the Board could contact the Air bnb owner and see if they would consider putting in an electric fire ring for safety purposes. The Board will not be singling out the Air bnb property - they are regulated by the State of Wisconsin.
CLERKS REPORT
Check number 17415 thru 17443 with 2 EFT for a total of $10,554.63 were written.
Operator’s applications received for Gwen Brown (new) and a duplicate license for Anna Alt (no charge) for the BuckStop . Motion by George to accept applications as presented, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
APPROVE BUDGET
Motion to approve the 2022 Budget adopted at Budget Hearing made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
APPROVE TOWN LEVY
Motion to approve the Town Levy of $16,412.00 adopted at Levy Hearing made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
TREASURERS REPORT
Sue reported checking account balance as of 10-31-21 is $316,916.52.
Motion to accept treasurer’s report made by Mike, seconded by George. Motion carried.
DISCUSSION/ACTION OLD TOWN HALL REPAIR
Motion to Approve Bid submitted by Rhodes Home Repair for all doors/windows/repair of siding and installation of vinyl siding and aluminum soffit and fascia for the Old Town Hall for $13,300 made by Mike, seconded by Dan. Motion carried.
DAVES REPORT BY MIKE
Mike went over Dave's shop and equipment report.
Mail/Vouchers reviewed and signed. Motion to Adjourn made by George, seconded by Mike.
