TOWN OF MILLSTON BOARD MEETING MINUTES
11-15-2016
The Town of Millston Board members met on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 at the Community Center. Meeting called to order by Dan at 6:55 pm. All Board Members present: Dan Smrekar, Chairman, Dawn Wojtyla, Clerk, Mary Ann Wojtyla, Treasurer, George Riedel, Supervisor 1, Mike Yahn, Supervisor 2.
Minutes from 10-12-2016 were read, Motion to approve made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.

CLERKS REPORT
Check/voucher number 15627 thru 15660 for a total of $14,025.76.
Just a reminder that Town Caucus will be scheduled at the December board meeting – tentatively looking at January 11th, 2017 with Board Meeting to follow.
Motion to accept the clerks report made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
TREASURERS REPORT
Mary Ann reported checking account balance as of 10/31/2016 is $72,915.20 with ending cleared check #15643
No changes in CD’s.
Motion to accept treasurer’s report made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
LIQUOR/OPERATOR LICENSES
2 Operator Applications received – Jeanne Shramek and Amanda Martens – TK’s 400 Club.
Motion to approve and issue licenses as presented made by George, seconded by Mike. Motion carried.
BUDGET APPROVAL
Motion to approve the 2017 Budget as presented made by Mike, seconded by George. Motion carried.
SHERIFF DEPUTIES SWEAR IN TO ENFORCE ORDINANCES
Dan swore in Jackson County Reserve Officers Neil Fasbender and Conrad Brager who will be utilized for the Town approximately 5 hours per month for Winter Months and 10 hours per month Memorial Day thru Labor Day.
SAND MINE COMPANY MEETING REQUEST
Attorney Dan Diehn verbally indicated that he would like to request to attend a town board meeting. Dan Smrekar requested that he submit a written request. No request has yet been made.
REPORTS – FIRE, COUNTY BOARD
Mike reported on what he learned from attending both meetings.
ROADS/DAVIDS REPORT
Board reviewed current Equipment issues, road projects and Dave’s monthly report.
Battery Charger ordered and received.

TOWN OF MILLSTON BUDGET HEARING
NOVEMBER 15TH, 2016
The 2016 Budget Hearing for the proposed 2017 budget was called to order by Dan Smrekar at 6:32pm at the Millston Community Center. All board members were present.
The 2017 Proposed Budget was reviewed.
MOTION TO ADOPT THE 2017 BUDGET AS PRESENTED MADE BY MARY BUNDE, SECONDED BY BUD BUNDE. MOTION CARRIED. 2 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED.
MOTION MADE BY GEORGE TO ADJOURN THE BUDGET HEARING, SECONDED BY MIKE. MOTION CARRIED.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING FOR LEVY
NOVEMBER 15TH, 2016
The special town meeting was held at the Community Center and called to order following the Budget Hearing. The Special Town Meeting was held to adopt the proposed 2016 Town Tax Levy payable in 2017 as required by state statute.
MOTION MADE BY BUD BUNDE TO ADOPT THE 2016 PROPOSED TAX LEVY OF $15,656.00 PAYABLE IN 2017, SECONDED BY MARY BUNDE. MOTION CARRIED. 2 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED.
MOTION MADE BY BUD BUNDE TO ADJOURN THE SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, SECONDED BY MARY BUNDE. MOTION CARRIED.
